With the commencement of the sixth round of the 2015 MTTC Winter Pennant competition, we will now witness the race to the finals as teams compete in both Divisions within the final half of the competition.

Looking at Division 1, the ladder leading Falcons will seek to halt the late season revival of the Eagles and further cement their claim for a finals appearance. There will be a battle of chop and block with the competitions’ two leading back spinners, Terry and Xu Dong facing off in a vital rubber. Fabian will face a tough challenge against the rising star of Abdullah, and the doubles will undoubtedly prove the crucial rubber of the match and is therefore our pick of the round.

Round 6 will also see the cellar dwelling Kestrels attempt to revive their seasons when they face off against the soaring Vultures. Geoff and Hiep will seek revenge against Paul for the defeats suffered in Round 1, whilst Chris will join Paul for a thrilling doubles rubber to determine the fate of the match.

This round will also witness the much anticipated re-match between the Seahawks and Swifts. The doubles rubber and singles rubber between John and Sam are the top tickets for this match. Whilst, the Brolgas will attempt to sustain their position at the top of the table by holding off the late season surge of the Harriers. For this match, Bill will attempt to sustain his claim for leading player of Division 2.

Practice tables will also be available on this night, to enable visitors and fans to get a taste for the competition. So this Thursday evening be sure not to miss out on all of this action and much, much more at Templestowe Leisure Centre!!
