Be sure not to miss out on all the action during the first Semi Final for Division 2 of the MTTC 2016 Winter Pennant competition!

The Finals Series will commence at the conclusion of the regular season, after every team has played each other twice. Due to player availabilities the Semi-Finals will be conducted over the evenings of August 4th and 9th from 7:00pm at the venues of Donburn Primary School and Manningham DISC respectively. Semi Final 1 will be contested on August 4thbetween the teams ranked first (Lions) and fourth (Leopards) upon the ladder at the conclusion of the regular season fixture. Whilst, Semi Final 2 will be held on Augsut 9th at Manningham DISC and will feature the teams ranked second (Pumas) and third (Panthers) upon the ladder.

Each team consists of 2 players. Within each semi-final match, there will be a total of five rubbers played: 4 singles and 1 doubles. Each rubber will be played best out of 5 sets, which are played up to 11 points.

These matches will determine which teams will face off against each other within the Grand Final to be held on Thursday the 11th of August at Donburn Primary School.

Please note that on the evening of August 4th, the Division 1 Grand Final will also be held in addition to grading matches for the upcoming Spring Pennant competition.

So this Thursday come down to Donburn Primary School to watch the highly anticipated clash between the ladder leading Lions and the resurgent Leopards. The Leopards will be empowered by their strong 4-1 victory over the Lions two weeks ago, which was the only loss suffered by the Lions this season. Can the Lions rule the pride or will the Leopards pull off another stunning upset to secure a place in the Grand Final?
