On the evening of July 28th at Donburn Primary School, the final week of the regular season of the 2016 Winter Pennant competition will be held from 7:00pm. Be sure to come down and witness all of the action as teams vie for a select number of spots within the closely contested Finals Series.

In Division 1, leading player Shahram and his partner Terry of the Orcas will take on the ladder-leading Dolphins represented by Xu Dong and Justin to clinch a spot in the Grand Final. This match will be a pick of the round and will see elite spin masters Shahram and Xu Dong clash in what will surely be an unmissable spectacle. In addition, a classic 5-set thriller is expected when back-spin pros Terry and Xu Dong clash. Be sure to expect plenty of fireworks in these rubbers, but be aware that the key to victory will lie in the doubles rubber, which will ensure a crucial last victory in the regular season that will determine the composition of the Grand Final on August 4th.

Hiep and Christopher of the Sea Lions also seek to ensure their place in the Grand Final when they clash with Fabian and Mahmoud of the Leopard Seals who will seek to finish their season on a high note. High quality Table Tennis will be on display when the smash master Fabian takes on the top-spin master Hiep. The Sea Liuons will seek to secure victory within the doubles rubber, but will face stiff competition against the Leopard Seals.

In Division 2, the Lions will face off against the Jaguars, whilst the Panthers take on the Pumas and the Leopards challenge the Tigers.

Glenn and Stephen of the Jaguars will attempt to upset the ladder leading Lions team of Howard and Hamish. Howard will need to win both of his singles rubbers if he is to claim the leading player title, which is being hotly pursued by both John of the Pumas and Bill of the Tigers. The Panthers will seek to secure a place in the Finals Series next week when they take on the Pumas. The Tigers and the Leopards also face a must-win scenario in order to secure a position within the Semi-Finals.

Practice tables will also be available on this night, to enable visitors and fans to get a taste for the competition. So this Thursday evening be sure not to miss out on all of this action and much, much more at Donburn Primary School!
