OUR ETHOS

Manningham Table Tennis Club was established in 2012 with the support of the Manningham City Council, the Manningham Recreation Association and Table Tennis Victoria. The primary focus of the club is to promote the sport of Table Tennis and encourage the participation of all members of the Manningham community. To achieve this our club strives to develop an inclusive environment in which players of all ages, experience and abilities are welcome to participate in coaching, social, and competitive Table Tennis activities.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Manningham Table Tennis Club conduct coaching, social and competitive Table Tennis activities for players of all ages and abilities. The club currently operates out of Manningham DISC on Tuesday nights, and Donburn Primary School gym on Thursday evenings.

TUESDAY NIGHTS: 7PM - 10PM

Manningham DISC: 360-368 Springvale Road, Donvale, VIC, 3111.

Commencing on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm, social Table Tennis activities are held at Manningham DISC with opportunities also provided to participate in doubles round robins, and coaching.

SOCIAL DOUBLES

On the last Tuesday night of each month, a round robin social doubles tournament is held at Manningham DISC from 8:00pm. For these tournaments, players are randomly assigned a number and placed into a designated match with a different partner every round for at least 5 matches. Each match is played as the best out of 3 sets. In some cases, depending upon the numbers of participants, there will be some singles rubbers played.

These events are the perfect opportunity to meet our club members, whilst improving your skills during friendly social play. They are a beloved club activity and are suitable for players of all skill levels and abilities from the keen competitor to the backyard superstar.

COACHING

Our club has several nationally-qualified coaches that are eager to assist interested players with their personal improvement and understanding of the game. In addition, they can provide equipment and personalised training sessions with the club robot.

THURSDAY NIGHTS: 7:30PM - 10:00PM

Donburn Primary School Gym: Colchester Drive, Doncaster East, VIC, 3109.

Competitive Table Tennis activities, such as pennant and our annual club championships, are held on Thursday nights at Donburn Primary School gym between 7:30pm and 10:00pm.

PENNANT COMPETITIONS

Throughout the year, MTTC will host at least three pennant competitions. Players of all ages, abilities, and experience are welcome to sign up for pennant membership of our club and participate in these exciting events. The format of each pennant with regard to season length, teams, and rankings are dependent upon the number of player entries received.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Each year MTTC host a Club Championship. To be eligible to participate in 2020, you must be a financial member of the club who has been registered for at least 3 months prior to the Club Championships, and have either (a) attended 10 social nights, or (b) competed in one full pennant season. This tournament features singles and doubles events, which are conducted across three separate age categories: (1) Junior (under the age of 18 years old); (2) Open; and (3) Veteran (over the age of 50 years old). These events will be conducted in November.

OUR COMMITTEE

The current MTTC committee members were elected at the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday the 16th of May, 2019 for the term of 2019/2020. This new team brings a diverse range of skills and experience to bear along with a passion for the sport that will ensure the growth and success of the club into the future, in addition to the promotion of Table Tennis within the community.
