2016 Winter Pennant (26/05 – 04/08)

5 teams competed within a 10 Week Competition, which was concluded with a Grand Final match on the evening of August 4th at Donburn Primary School. This match was contested between the Orcas and the Dolphins who were the top 2 teams on the ladder after the end of the regular season.

Each team consisted of 2 players. Each team played against each other twice and there were 2 BYE rounds in total for the season.

Within each regular season match, there were a total of five rubbers played: 4 singles and 1 doubles. Each rubber was played best out of 5 sets, which were played up to 11 points.

The Grand Final was contested between the the teams ranked first and second upon the ladder at the conclusion of the regular season fixture. On the evening of August 4th at Donburn Primary School from 7:00pm the Division 1 Grand Final was held between the Orcas and the Dolphins. The Dolphins were victorious over the Orcas winning 3 rubbers to 1.
